What that means

Time served, not short course

Heating is a trade anybody can put on a van. "Time served" is the word engineers use for having done the full apprenticeship rather than a few weeks of training, and it is the reason he leads with it.

British Gas trains on the boilers that are actually in British houses, in volume. An engineer who came through that has already seen whatever is on your wall.

What you get from that

  • The fault found before parts get replaced
  • Big-firm training without big-firm pricing
  • One person to deal with from the call to the finish
  • Somebody twenty minutes away, not a regional booking line
The gap

320 people follow him and there is nowhere to send them

Somebody in L16 searching for a heating engineer today gets the national lead-generation sites first, because there is nothing of his for the search to find.

Your story goes here

Everything above came off his own Facebook page and a public directory listing. Nothing else is invented, so the rest is blank until he sends it.

Placeholder — needs your words
  • How many years in the trade, and how long on your own
  • Which years you were at British Gas
  • Your Gas Safe registration number
  • Whether it is just you or you take an apprentice
  • Whether you are insured, and for how much
  • Which manufacturers you are accredited with, if any
  • Two or three reviews in the customer's own words
  • A photograph of you or the van

Send those over and this page writes itself.
